Club Dinner Report

A small but hardy bunch turned out at the BlueBell Inn,

Kirby Hill, last night for the club’s Annual Dinner.

Those present were treated to their choice of either two

or three courses, the highlight for the writer being the

Prawn Cocktail starter and the chicken in a basket main.

The writer had neither, but their very presence took him

right back to the 1980’s! The food was excellent and the

company even better – and it didn’t take long for thoughts

to turn to the 2024 season.

Thanks to Julian Hodges for organising and setting up the

bar room games – killer pool and some random darts

game – both of which Jules won! No guesses for where he

spends most of his time.
